THE VISITOR

I saw the The Visitor the other day. It was an absolutely  fantastic movie.  It pulled my heart strings.    Without giving anything away, this movie was about a college economics professor named Walter who has  lost his purpose and is simply existing; plowing through the motions of life.

The professor returns to New York  and he is stunned to find two strangers living in his apartment.  A man from Syria and a woman  from Senegal  have taken up residence in his home while he was away.  Upon Walter's return they quickly pack up their belongings and promptly leave as Walter does not hide his annoyance with this odd situation.

The movie unfolds into a beautiful expression of love for people for who they are.

If there is one thing in life I absolutely abhor, is the fact that people are stereotyped and judged because of their ethnicity, culture, lifestyle and background. This film closes the gap between different cultures and shows us that people are people  no matter how different.

I truly enjoyed this film of a man's journey who finds life,  purpose, and love in the midst of the lives of others... strangers no less.

Check out the trailer here.

... and go see this movie!!!
